NFT Animation Specs

Videos should be cropped or rendered as a square and converted to .mp4 format with H.264 video codec and MP3 audio codec for maximum compatibility with Legitimate as well as third party NFT platforms such as OpenSea and Rarible.

Exporting your video

If your video editing tool or rendering software supports custom resolutions, please use 1080x1080 or 2160x2160 pixels.
Widescreen and vertical videos are supported but may not look the best in Legitimate's Tap interface or third party NFT platforms.

Capturing your video

We recommend capturing your videos in 4K resolution. If you do not have equipment that can record in 4K, 1080p is acceptable as well.
Legitimate uses a rotating table to capture the 360 degree video shown in many Legitimate's curated products. The item is recorded spinning slowly against a solid background. We use mannequins for clothing and stands for paintings or sculptures to showcase the item in its intended setting.
We recommend square videos for maximum compatibility but most smartphones and professional cameras capture widescreen videos (16:9 aspect ratio) by default. These will need to be cropped so only the center portion of the video will be shown.
