# How to Apply a Legitimate Heat Press Tag {% embed url="" %} 1. Turn the heat press on * Ideal temperature is 150C, but anywhere between 140 - 180C will work (this will be heat setting M on the recommended heat press). Please adjust the time spent adhering to the tag with the heat press accordingly. * Any temperature above 200C will burn the adhesive 2. Take the release paper off the back of the Heat Press Tag 3. Place the tag on the desired location of your item 4. Place a thin piece of fabric underneath the surface you are working on to keep your surface from burning 5. Press the heat press straight down onto the tag for 20 seconds and then take the heat press off 6. Flip the item over so that the side of the tag you just heat pressed is facing down 7. Hold the heat press down on this new side of the item for 20 seconds 8.
